Life aboard a boat in Chicago.
I've watched lots of your videos seeking one bit of info about winter in Chicago that I haven't found. I live about 100 miles away from you (Grand Rapids area) and there's no way we would ever keep a boat in the water in Grand Haven, Holland or Saugatuck. The water freezes. Is there something unique about the water in your marina that prevents it from freezing? Is the flow of the Chicago river pulling lake water in or river water out that is always above freezing? Or are there bubblers under your boat to keep ice off the surface?
